Abstract

The article deals with the existing types of data visualization devices with spherical screens, focusing on the general principles of selecting the right device for data vizualization. The authors describe a block diagram of the device to visualize satellite data, as well as the general requirements for input and output data in order to make a presentation. The article proposes a method of visualization of satellite data in real (quasi-real) time using advanced spherical visualization technology. The service provides visualization of satellite SWARM mission data (ESA) on a spherical screen from a continuously updated database, using a number of scripts and ArcGIS REST API functionality. In a geographic information system (GIS) file format digital mapping data values are transformed and visualized. A general intellectual prototype system was developed intended primarily for interactive data visualization on spherical screen in near real-time.
